I have recently returned from two years of assisting the training of military troops, and have found a great amount of time on my hands while waiting for the fall semester of college. Thus, I have decided to write on the internet.
From a very young age, I have wanted to write. I started taking writing very seriously when I was in about 6th grade. I decided at that time that I would stop reading literature from other authors to keep from copying their writing style. This made all my book reports from that point on very difficult. Thankfully, a good mind yielded me no less that a B- on all of said reports.
To my credit, I had been quite a bookworm before then, so I had a base for comparison when it came to writing quality. From then, I wrote whatever was closest to my current life’s philosophy, and have a large amount of works partially finished.
This year, 2010, I made my resolution to get published, and am attempting to on three fronts. The first is a young adult fantasy novel, the second a graphic novel which I literally read in a dream, and the third is a game engine for a genre that has been without for too long.
Writing is important, because language itself is a conveyance of ideas. By reading what I am writing, you are allowing my ideas to influence you. For that grace, I will not mislead you reader, all views held and expressed in Casual Internet are from me to you. If there are views from a third party, they will be annotated as such.
Advertising will be on my terms as well. If someone wishes me to evaluate their product, and commissions me to do so, I will give what I think about it to you reader, and I will take from them my monetary compensation. If the item has faults you and the advertiser will hear them, if I deem it a good item or concept, I will say so. If someone wishes to reward me dearly for publishing something I don’t agree with, it will be under a pen name, and a different blog.
“Only fools would sell-out?” Well, I’m perfectly comfortable taking ad money to speak, for someone will, and if it is I at least I get to choose the influence of my words. As far as any backlash from ‘flamers’ or people who find my views to be unacceptable, I enjoy debate, as the products of conversation are the middle ground of opposing minds.
Within this blog will may be contained drastically offensive material, only a mature mind should be here. It is to be taken with a grain of salt, as should the inside of any human mind. I find that by further exploring the dark, you better understand the necessity of light…
